Blaming the Past Will Keep Women in Bondage

In John 3:7 the Lord Jesus says that we must be born again. When we recieve Christ we are brand new. We must forget about whatever happened in the past and look to the future. God doesn't want you to dwell on all the hurtful things that has happened to you. Through Christ you are a new creation.

God has a plan for your life. The plan the devil had for you is null and void. It should no longer effect your life. The God of the universe has given you a divine plan. It is best to spend time finding out what his plan for you is.

The world would like to keep you back and encourages you to talk about the past. Blaming the past for who you are today is unbiblical. Your past has absolutely nothing to do with your future in Christ. Your past may be used to minister to others. If you were abused, mistreated, or otherwise broken, perhaps your ministry will blossom out of that.

Whatever has happened to you  is now covered with the blood of Jesus. You must allow the Lord to heal you of your past. Then you may share that testimony with others.

The world's counselors will constantly bring you back to your past. Their counseling focuses on your problems. They believe that problems must be talked about. Women in counseling may spend years ruminating about the past. They must stay in buisness. Without your problems they have no job. It is to their benefit to keep you thinking about everything that went wrong with your life. This keeps them in business. Trying to fix the past is not in line with scripture. Their are no scripture verses that support trying to fix the past. The past is already fixed by God, through Christ because he has delivered you from it. You don't have to be stuck in your past. Embrace the wonderful promises of God for your future. Begin to pray about what the Lord has in store for you to do. Our purpose is to serve God. This is our new purpose. We can't serve the devil by remembering the bondage we were in with Satan. We serve God by walking in his promises.

Remember to give attention to scripture study, prayer and worship. These are the blessed habits that will renew your mind.
